Free Bee Identification Training Coming Up June 16 and 17

2012 June 1

As part of our push to learn what bees are visiting crop plants in Seattle, the second portion of our research aims to help volunteers learn to id bees so they can perform pollinator observations at PPatch UPP tomato plants. (Remember, tomato-growing volunteers can choose to participate in beewatching OR just submit tomato data–you don’t have to do both unless you want to!) The UPP will offer free training for volunteers to learn to identify bees on Saturday, June 16, from noon-2:00, and on Sunday, June 17, from 10:00 am-12:00. Both sessions will be held at the UW Botany Greenhouse.
