Crowdfunding Update:

As of this week, we are over halfway to our goal of $3500!! Thank you so much to all of our donors! Particularly one who generously contributed $1000! These donations mean so much for what we will be able to do with the project this upcoming year. Please keep spreading the word to interested friends!! We have 25 days left to reach our fundraising goal!

Results Update:

We are very excited to have Leander Love-Anderegg, a new UW Biology grad, on board to help us with the landscape data analysis for this project! Welcome, Leander! We are so excited to learn about land-use and bumble bee nest site availability around the city’s P-patches!

Also, the first results are in from last summer. Bee-pollinated tomatoes were significantly larger than those that were not pollinated! More to come.

Events/Community Update:

UPP is planning on doing talks around the city about the biology of pollination this winter! We have a few that are getting set up, but please contact us if you are interested in having a pollination talk or activity at your organization or in your classroom!
